Frequently asked questions

Quick, label-based answers about Niraparix. For clinical questions, always consult the treating oncologist.

Niraparix (niraparib) is a cancer medicine supplied as 100 mg capsules — 90 capsules per HDPE pot. It is the first and only once-daily oral PARP inhibitor.

Niraparib is indicated for the maintenance treatment of adult patients with recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer who are in a complete or partial response to platinum-based chemotherapy.

The recommended dose is 300 mg (three 100 mg capsules) taken orally once daily, at about the same time each day. Capsules should be swallowed whole and may be taken with or without food; bedtime administration may help manage nausea.

Patients should start no later than 8 weeks after their most recent platinum-containing regimen. Treatment should continue until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.

In the case of a missed dose, patients should take their next dose at its regularly scheduled time (do not take a double dose).

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
